  • Kaiya Larson, M.Ac, L.Ac

    ACUPUNCTURIST & CO-FOUNDER

    Kaiya Larson has more than 20 years of clinical experience, serving a wide range of patients with an extensive knowledge of holistic approaches to health maintenance, pain management, and fertility.

    Kaiya has always had a strong passion for healing, as well as helping people transform into their best, most vibrant selves. Having practiced acupuncture since 2000, and after receiving her Master of Acupuncture degree from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now Maryland University of Integrative Health), Kaiya is as inspired today by the power of acupuncture to heal and restore, as she was in 1997 when she began her Master’s degree. Kaiya is also a graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994.

    Besides being in private practice at Indigo Restorative Health, Kaiya, who is known as an expert in fertility acupuncture, has taught for over 20 years as an adjunct faculty member, and ultimately as a ranked assistant professor, at the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

  • Rose Truby, D.Ac, L.Ac

    ACUPUNCTURIST & CO-FOUNDER

    Dr. Rose Truby has more than 20 years of clinical experience, with an extensive knowledge of holistic approaches to health maintenance, disease management, as well as oncology, pediatrics and gerontology.

    Rose’s early work with special needs children and the elderly provided her the training and experience to utilize the principles of Oriental Medicine to one’s mind, body, and spirit, and offer patients a comprehensive, wellness approach to medicine for those dealing with physical, mental and emotional challenges, as well as life-threatening illness.

    Her extensive medical training has enabled her to broaden her practice to include conditions such as palliative care oncology, post-surgical pain management, fertility, depression and psycho-emotional conditions, and menopausal treatments.

    Rose received her Doctorate of Acupuncture degree from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly known as Tai Sophia Institute) in Laurel, Maryland: the first nationally accredited acupuncture college in the United States. She holds a Certification in Acupuncture Oncology from the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is also a Phi Beta Kappa graduate from The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Studio Art.

    In addition to her practice at Indigo Restorative Health, Rose is an affiliated clinical staff member of the Department of Medicine, Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, and is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Acupuncture program at the Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Meet the Affiliated Practitioners

  • Jen Yocum, D.Ac, L.Ac., RYT200

    ACUPUNCTURIST & REIKI MASTER, AFFILIATED INDIGO RESTORATIVE HEALTH PRACTITIONER

    Dr. Jennifer ("Jen") Yocum, L.Ac., RYT200 is a licensed acupuncturist, Reiki Master, and yoga teacher. Jen knows first-hand about the transformative power of acupuncture. In 2005, she began to receive acupuncture for a gall bladder condition, and was healed soon thereafter. In the years that followed, she was also cured of her anxiety, and now uses acupuncture as a means to help her continue to fulfill her destiny and unabashedly do the work she knows she is put on the planet to do. Jen previously worked as a behavioral neuroscientist for 15 years, receiving her Master of the Arts degree in Experimental Psychology in 1999 and working at many prestigious institutions in the years that followed. After seeing the healing that was possible through acupuncture, she left science to become an acupuncturist. She received her Masters in Acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute (now Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH)) in 2010, and her Doctorate in Acupuncture from MUIH in 2018. Jen began practicing reiki as an additional healing modality in 2008 and in 2015 became certified as a Reiki Master. Jen has been teaching yoga since 2006, and teaches her acupuncture patients stretches or poses that can help them relieve their pain and stiffness.

    Jen is most passionate about working with people who want to become the best versions of themselves that they can be- people who are ready to have a transformative experience, and are ready to find their purpose in life, or who already know or have an inkling of their purpose and just need a little hand-holding or direction to truly step into their destiny. She is the founder of The Chinese Medicine Cleanse, and specializes in helping patients to come to a healthy relationship with their weight and bodies. Jen additionally specializes in pain relief, anxiety, depression, and urogenital concerns, including fertility, for all genders. Jen is committed to providing a safe space for people of all genders, sexual preferences, races, and ages.
